For those exhausted because their store is constantly hit with spam, making pixel/CAPI cleaning very complex — this feature is for you. Just enable the Hard Filter feature and all leads go into the suspicious order folder. If after your CS verifies a lead and it turns out to be a real human and not a bot, just mark it as “not spam”. The moment you approve a lead, all related CAPI events are sent to Meta. The downside is this is done manually. Well, it’s called Hard Filter for a reason. It’s hard work. But it can save your ads, especially if you’re just entering the market or still on a small budget. Here’s how you might use it: 1/ Enable hard filter
2/ Run your campaign as usual, but you as owner and CS stay on alert. Every time a lead comes in, verify right away (you can usually tell real leads from spammers by the chat)
3/ Once there are many legitimate leads — enough within 1 conversion window — try disabling hard filter
4/ Monitor incoming leads and of course your ROAS to see if it meets your criteria.
5/ Scale up.
Enjoy.
